外语教研室

The English Teaching and Research Division of Qingdao Technological University (Linyi) was established in September, 2006. At present it has 19 skilled teachers, including one associate professor, one foreign teacher and 14 lecturers. Nine teachers have master's degrees, accounting for 50% of the total number of teachers.
The teachers of English Teaching and Research Division adhere to the "strict, diligent, pragmatic, innovative" motto, implement the "student-oriented" educational philosophy and regard cultivating "practical, comprehensive, high-quality talents" as its mission. In the past few years, the English Teaching and Research Division has made many remarkable and effective achievements.
The teaching level of teachers gets continuous improvement these years and the scientific research ability has been increasing year by year. In recent years, more than 5 research projects were taken at the state, province, and city level. Besides, more than 50 papers were published in domestic and foreign academic journals. English teaching has excellent infrastructure, and it has a modern language lab, many multi-media classrooms, rich professional books, and dozens of subscribed language literary journals.
Some teachers of the English Teaching and Research Division open various optional courses on English and other foreign languages and cultures, enriching the students’ learning content and increasing their interest in learning foreign languages. The English Division also organizes English Culture Festival in October each year, which greatly improves the students' English learning atmosphere. The culture festival also obtains favorable comments from the leaders, colleagues and students alike. Moreover, many students have participated in such English contests at different levels as oral English contest, writing contest, speech contest etc. and have got good marks under the teachers’ guidance.
The teachers of the English Teaching and Research Division will go on improving the teaching methods , perfecting their personality and attainment and making greater progress in English teaching and research.
